4 eyes x 9 = a rout.

Wow! What a game! A slew of new kickballers joined the league this weekend, resulting in a full squad 9 on 9 game - there were fielders everywhere! As a result, a new position was born:

crowder: Pronunciation Key (KROUD-er)
n.

1. Someone who stands close enough to another person to cross into their personal space.
2. (Alt)see: Kickball: Position(s) to left/right of pitcher bewteen first/third and the pitchers mound, designed to crowd the kicker and shit-talk them into making an out.

We also had the first legit triple and home runs of the year as the regular "doubles only" rules were lifted due to the availability of more players. Beginning with a tight low scoring game in the early innings, the 20/20 vision team took a commanding lead early on and shut down the near/far-sighted 36 eye team to end with a 13-5 victory.

Keep this and future games in mind for this years Kickies™! The competition for the coveted awards looks to be heating up!

The 2006 season Kickball attendance record was set! Can we beat it in future games?! Nine on nine made for some tough kicking conditions and excellent fielding. Team 32 Eyes tried to make a come back with some aggressive base running at the bottom of the 9th but their effort was too little too late.
