Aug 12: a rare game of KICKET

There was no big membership drive in effect last Sunday since we thought it would be un-play-ably hot and crappy out, but it turned out to be overcast and kinda nice.
So those dedicated few who came out played a rare game of KICKET. If you haven't heard, this combines the best part of kickball (the kicking) with the best part of cricket (the wickets).

Teams divided based on shirt color, with the Whites taking on the Coloreds (and perma-pitcher Laurel refusing to choose sides). An especially high-scoring final inning made the Whites feel all superior with a 12-6 lead, but the Coloreds came back in a huge way in the bottom of the inning, scoring at least eight runs, proving once and all that it's not the color of your shirt that matters, but the strength of your kick.

See y'all next Sunday at 1pm.
