Kicket

Its a cross between kickball and cricket. A very fun alternative if you don't have enough people for a full kickball game. You sort of have to play to understand the rules. Today the Mint Julips beat the Grasshoppers 9-7 in 6 innings of kicket.

4 vs IV

After taking a couple weeks off for set playing and camping trips, kickball was back in Candler Park today. Nine brave souls overcame the heat and humidity to play an exciting game. The teams were Arabic number 4 vs Roman Numeral IV. 4 took an early lead in the first inning. But IV got their defense together and slowly came back (with the help of an extra player -the empire advantage). IV pulled ahead in the bottom of the last inning with two outs. The Empire wins again.

Afterwards snowcones were enjoyed by all. And a little extreme Set was played.

Greetings from Barcelona! Spain is really into kickball, too, but they call it "football" and play a little differently. Their version isn't as fun.

Here are a couple photos from the momentous "Atlanta vs. Outside Atlanta" game in April:
