Unplanned color coordination gave us Les Bleus vs Los Morados for some international flavor at today's game. It was a see-saw match with multiple lead changes but perhaps the most active player in today's game was the Tree- which gave almost as many hits as it took away.

Also factoring in was today's batch of rookies, with the youngest, having been called up a bit early to the majors, spending the game on the bench looking cool.

In the end, the matching uni's could not be contained and Les Bleus won 17-14 in seven innings.

Sno-cones enjoyed by all.

What better way to celebrate Earth Day than a friendly game of kickball in the bright shining sun in a beautiful park? The bicyclists faced off against the recyclists to determine, once and for all, which is better for the environment: bicycling or recycling. In a surprise to no one, the bicyclists prevailed over the recyclists on all fronts: energy conservation, style, magic base usage, and emission reduction. The game was called after 5 innings due to the heat and the 24-11 score. Old time kickballers united with long lost kickballers and new found kickballers all the way from France for 6 on 6 action. Of course at the end of the day all agreed that the best solution is using your bicycle to recycle

or a recycled bicycle.

Only the most hardcore of players attended this week's game. You know who you are. It was cold, windy, and rainy at times, but the slick field did not stop slick play as TEAM TORNADO/NO HATS took on TEAM CYCLONE/HAS HATS in yet another close game. After the No Hats came back from 3 runs down to tie it in the top of the ninth, the Has Hats scored the winning run on a bunny-hop bunt + play at the plate. Final score 11-10*. Great game!

*Kickball-Rocks milestone: Katherine and Paul were on the winning team together for the first time, breaking the curse that dates back as far as anyone can remember, but really we just don't remember when the last time was.

This week was the Easter Kickball Annual and it didn't disappoint! The Cadbury Cream'rz took on the Powerfull Peepz for a deliciously fun nine innings ending in a tie; 21-21. The Cream'rz took an early lead with some small ball, but those chirping Peepz would not stay squashed, bouncing back every time. Magic base, still in its shining glory, was a factor and there was crisp play all around. Players agreed afterwards it was one of the best KBR games yet.. this season is shaping up to be a thrill-a-week!
